Leann Rimes
Grammy award-winning singer songwriter LeAnn Rimes has partnered with the Coalition to Salute America's Heroes to help the severely wounded and disabled veterans of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom and their families rebuild their lives.
Leann recorded a special acoustic version download of, "I Want You With Me" which will be available to consumers with a one dollar minimum donation to the Coalition to Salute America's Heroes. One hundred percent of the proceeds from the music download will go toward the Coalition to Salute America's Heroes and their vital work assisting veterans of the Iraq campaigns.
"I was first introduced to the Coalition in 2006 when some servicemen and women from Brooke Army Medical Center attended my concert in San Antonio," said Rimes. "I was at once touched and inspired by their efforts, and I immediately knew I wanted to do something to draw attention to the phenomenal work they do and the immense void they are seeking to fill for our injured troops returning home. I firmly believe that helping war veterans is not a political issue, but rather an American one."
Wounded veterans of the War on Terror must struggle every day to overcome life-changing sacrifices such as the loss of a limb, significant burns, and the reality of being in a wheelchair. The Coalition to Salute America's Heroes is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization that helps severely wounded troops and their families overcome these obstacles and resume a productive and fulfilling life through programs targeted to their specific needs.
