JJ Ramberg, who co-founded GoodSearch with her brother Ken, has been nominated for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Woman of the Year!
Thank you everyone who has come to this page to learn more about this campaign. A few years ago, one of my best friends, Jen Rogers, was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. She had recently had her second child and, as you can imagine, it was a shock for all of us. Watching Jen go through her treatment, I was reminded that there are two ways you can face hard things – you can give into them and be miserable or you can, as Jen (and my mom) did, have a positive attitude and continue to live your life with this new reality. Jen was a true role model and thank goodness today she is cancer free.
On behalf of Jen, I have been nominated as a Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Woman of the Year and we are raising money on behalf of the Kids of the Year – a group of incredibly inspiring kids who have been diagnosed with Leukemia or Lymphoma and faced the worst with the kind of grace and bravery that we barely expect out of adults.
This campaign --the Man & Woman of the Year -- raises money in honor of these kids who are blood cancer survivors, with the goal of helping fund the search for a cure.
