Bradford Anderson
Bradford Anderson, a native of Meredith, NH and actor who currently plays the role of “Damian Spinelli” on ABC’s General Hospital, is a supporter and fundraiser for the Manchester Animal Shelter (MAS).
Friends of the Manchester Animal Shelter (FMAS), is a no-kill shelter, serving the abused, abandoned and neglected animals of Manchester, NH, the state’s largest city. It is most often full to capacity as animals are kept as long as necessary in order to find permanent homes. Bradford appears at local and regional fundraisers such as golf tournaments and meet and greet events, helping the shelter to raise much needed monies, 96% of which goes directly to the medical needs and maintenance care of the animals while awaiting new homes.
MAS runs with only three paid staff and a host of committed volunteers who, along with Bradford, care for the 1400+ animals taken in each year and work tirelessly to raise funds for the shelter. Shelter funding comes in the form of donations, adoption fees, small grants and a small stipend from the city of Manchester. Because the shelter is in a much too small facility for the number of animals served, FMAS hopes to undertake a capital campaign in the near future to procure funding for a larger facility.
