Whoopi has served on the Advisory Committee for FilmAid International.

Since 1986, Whoopi has been hosting the Comic Relief television specials benefitting charities helping rebuild after Hurricane Katrina alongside good friends Robin Williams and Billy Crystal. Goldberg’s participation in Comic Relief has helped raise over $50 million for charitable causes.

Whoopi also took part in the much televised Hurricane Relief Benefit, in order to raise money for the victims of Hurricane Andrew.
