Sheila E. & Elevate Hope Foundation

Sheila E.

Co-founded in 2001 by entertainer, Sheila E., and business manager, Lynn Mabry, Elevate Hope Foundation (EHF) is dedicated to provide abused and abandoned children an alternative method of therapy through music and the arts, and funding special services and programs that assist the needs of these children using these fundamental methods.

EHF supports existing programs of their beneficiaries through monetary funding and in-kind donations e.g. musical instruments, art supplies, and work stations complete with computers, keyboards and applicable instructional software. In the summer of 2007, EHF refurbished Vista Del Mar Child & Family Services’ Music Center and conducted its first “Garage Band 101” session for selected students. H.I.P.P.'s (Hope’s Initiative Pilot Program’s) "Songwriters Symposium" initiated by EHF will start in the fall.

EHF’s fundraising endeavors are geared towards the implementation of our future goal, to build the first ever Compassion Care Center Of The Arts, that will provide access to, and the instruction of, the Arts as a whole exclusively to Wards of the State. The Center will provide effective counseling and training for these children and their caregivers, while preparing them as they face emotional and societal challenges in their day-to-day lives.

"There are so many young people who need our help", Sheila E. says, "and it is our hope to do so by building their self confidence through music and the arts. I am committed to the very best of my ability, to help to make a difference in the lives of as many children as possible. I'm sure, with your help, together we can save a multitude in a monumental way.
