Sisters and singing group Aly & AJ have used their role model status to bring awareness to the causes they are most passionate about.

Aly & Aj’s 2006 benefit concert titled, "Doing our Part for the Kids" helped raise funds for the AmberWatch Foundation, an organization dedicated to the prevention of child abduction and molestation.

As co-chairpersons for the Children’s Advisory Board of the AmberWatch Foundation, the sisters have also requested that fans attending their concerts make donations to the foundation rather then bringing gifts.

"Unfortunately child abduction and molestation is a problem of massive proportion for kids in our generation," say Aly and AJ. "We would like to do our part to help children all over the country protect themselves from such dangers." The sisters’ dedication to this cause is evident in a moving song they wrote, "I Am One of Them," which was inspired by a real-life kidnapping incident in Florida .
