Greg Grunberg
Heroes, Alias, and Felicity star (and friend of GoodSearch) Greg Grunberg’s 9-year old child Jake, is being treated for epilepsy. After facing the challenges of trying to understand the disorder and find the right treatment for his child, Grunberg enlisted the help of other Hollywood celebrities to join his efforts to raise awareness of epilepsy and effective treatments. The event, Hollywood Helping Hands, features an auction of original celebrity finger paintings, which funds the necessary resources for pediatric epilepsy treatment, training and research programs at the UCLA Children's Hospital's Pediatric Epilepsy Project, where Greg’s young child Jake is treated.
“As parents it was very difficult emotionally to see Jake struggle with epileptic seizures. On top of that, we struggled to find the right treatment for Jake because of concerns about side effects. We knew we needed to do everything we could to find the right medical advice and a treatment that would work for Jake,” said Grunberg. “My wife and I created Hollywood’s Helping Hands because we felt compelled to raise awareness of epilepsy and help other families going through the same thing.”
