Windows Vista Users
If you are running Windows Vista and using Internet Explorer and are not an administrator on your computer,
you will have to install the toolbar using a command line as an administrator.
Download the toolbar. Save the MSI file but don't run it yet. Note the folder where you saved the file, including the drive letter.
Typically the folder and filename will be C:\Users\[username]\Downloads\GoodSearchToolbarSetup.msi, but please check the folder.
You will need this information later to run the file.
(If you have an existing GoodSearch toolbar, please uninstall it first).
Go to the Start menu and find the Command Prompt (usually in Start > Accessories). Right click on Command Prompt and choose Run as Administrator. You will be prompted for a login. Please enter the username and password of a user with local administrator privileges on that computer. If you don't have this information, please contact your system admministrator.
Once you enter a working login and get the Command Prompt, please type in the msiexec command followed by the install parameter and the name of the toolbar file:
msiexec /i [path to GoodSearchToolbarSetup.msi file]
for example:
msiexec /i C:\Users\[username]\Downloads\GoodSearchToolbarSetup.msi
If the path is correct, the installation routine should begin. You may be asked again to give permission for the toolbar to install.
