Description
Zuma's is a 501c3 charity that pairs rescued horses with troubled children in a therapeutic setting. 80 % of children involved in the foster care or adjudication end up in prison within 2 years of leaving the system.
Zuma's works with up to 50 children and families per week helping the achieve better outcomes for these children. Equine Assisted Experiential Learning is proving to be a most effective program lowering these grim statistics.
Combining our kids with the 35 resident rescue horses on Zuma's pristine ranch promotes healing almost immediately!
This operation complete with 35 horses rescued from slaughter, pot belly pig, goats and mini ponies is a safe haven for both child and animal. This comes at an extreme expense, and Zuma's needs community funding to help those voiceless members of our society.
