As a wildlife conservation organization we aim to connect people to wildlife through education, wildlife conservation and research. The Zoological Society of San Diego operates the San Diego Zoo and the Wild Animal park. Its conservation arm runs many programs throughout the world including: Giant pandas in China, Western Lowland gorillas in the Congo basin, Asian elephants in Sri Lanka, Leaf-eating promates in Vietnam, Rock iguanas in the Caribbean and California condors in Baja.
