Has been on the Island of Hawaii since 1919 serving women and children. Our mission is to eliminate racism, empower women and peace, justice and dignity for all.
The YWCA Hawaii Island has several programs that serve women and children. There is a NAEYC accredited preschool; Healthy Start and Enhanced Healthy Start, a child abuse and neglect prevention program; Teen Court, an alternative to Family Court for first time teen offenders; a salt water-solar heated pool and Sexual Assault Support Services, a 24/7 rape crisis line, offering support to victims, survivors and their families crisis intervention, therapy and prevention education.
