For over 100 years the Decatur YWCA has worked on a grass-roots level to provide services that empower women to be economically self-sustaining and that work toward the elimination of racism. We provide quality affordable early childhood and school-age care, a school of dance for all ages, and an employment preparation progam that offers pre-employment coaching, as well as interview and work attire at no cost to clients. In the past the Decatur YWCA has hosted Racial Justice Study Circles and plays an active role in the city's annual diversity conference. In November of 2007, we will kick-off our women's professional development initiative with our first ever women's leadership conference entitled "Climbing the Ladder of Success in Heels." Your support enables us to enable women throughout the community.
