Description

YTSD annually reaches over 10,000 young people; providing opportunities to play tennis at the Barnes Tennis Center and at 85 neighborhood school locations. After School Tennis, taught by trusted educators on school and park and recreation facilities, introduces tennis to students in an atmosphere that underlines fitness, friends and fun. After School Tennis, founded in 1989, is a positive, proven solution to the negative challenges faced by children during critical hours after school. YTSD programs at the Barnes Tennis Center include: entry level tennis, homework assistance, First Lessons in Tennis and Education, local and national tournaments, wheelchair and special population programs. Youth Tennis San Diego is actively engaged in community partnerships that support the mission and goals of the organization. Partnerships with school districts, the City and County of San Diego and other youth service organizations help benefit our youth and families.
