Youth Renewal Fund was established in 1989 to provide supplemental education to underprivileged Israeli youth. In the past few decades, the quality of education provided in Israeli schools has declined significantly. To compensate for inadequacies in the public schools, parents with financial means enroll their children in private supplemental education programs. Children whose families cannot afford these programs get an education that is markedly inferior to that received by their more fortunate counterparts. These are the students that YRF helps. Our programs teach students core academic subjects and help prepare them for matriculation exams. YRF also creates programs that impart valuable training to teachers and parents to improve their effectiveness in the classroom and in the home. YRF programs help create new opportunities for children in poverty-stricken communities and enables students to succeed from a young age.
