Youth Outreach Services is a community based organization with the mission of reaching out to the disadvantged. The main group we reach is at risk teenagers who have either been in the detention or likely to go. YOS mentors, educates and equips at-risk teenagers with the ability to achieve in contemporary American society. YOS does this by going into the the detention center on a weekly basis and allowing the teen to attend the Entreprenurial Business Mentoring School (EMBS)which we are fundraising to build now. The EMBS networks with businesses and community members to mentor and educate the at-risk teens about basic job-skills through the Job Readines Program and creates jobs for the at-risk teens through the Apprenticeship program. Other outreach programs that YOS has are Girls In Actions which address the specific needs that young females have, Gang intervention and prevention program and HIV/Aids prevention program.
