Description
Youth Matter, Inc. mission is to enhance the lives of youth through self-esteem building, mentoring, tutoring, and after-school programs. To assist adolescents and adults through job training and economic and community development projects. We are also working to develop more recreational & learning centers for youth, as well as after-school programs with a music arts focus -- providing safe places and opportunities to motivate them and keep them off of the streets.
Our targeted program goals include increasing successful high school completion; assuring that young adults have the knowledge and skills necessary for productive employment and participation in citizen life; promoting avoidance of too-early parenthood; promoting understanding and tolerance of cultural, racial, and religious differences; and supporting recreational and cultural activities that meet the physical and social development needs of neighborhoods.
