Description

YLGH desires that youth are “health promoters” today! The long term outcomes desired by YLGH are that youth (1) demonstrate healthy lifestyle behaviors, (2) share health knowledge with others and (3) participate in community and global health issues. To achieve the outcomes, YLGH connects youth to monthly health education activities; develops leadership skills and passion for health promotion through training programs and mentors; engages youth in hands-on health issues by volunteering in the community; and exposes youth to impact of politics and culture on global health issues through a two-week international health study tour. Youth transform health behaviors for themselves, their families, their peers, their communities and one day the world.
