Description
The YWC was founded on October 14, 1921, with its purpose “to promote among the younger women of Louisville, an active involvement and intelligent interest in culture and civic affairs in the community.” Through a combination of social, volunteer, and fundraising activities the YWC seeks to fulfill its mission of improving the quality of lives of its members and the community. Each year 100% of the money raised through our Charity Campaign Drive and Charity Ball, fund the grant requests of local agencies. In 2008, the YWC was honored to be able to donate over $70,000.00 to 21 charities.
