The YMCA of the East Bay is a community-based non-profit Association comprised of 10 branches and camps in Alameda and West Contra Costa Counties. With current strategic program priority areas in health and wellness and youuth programming, the YMCA of the East Bay provides a continuum of services for infants, toddlers, school aged youth, teens, adults and seniors—over 18,000 of our 32,000 members are 18 years of age and younger. Established in 1879 in Oakland as a housing, language instruction, and sports recreation agency, today, the YMCA of the East Bay is committed to providing opportunities for men and women of all ages, religions, races and abilities, evident in programming at our 67 sites in urban and suburban communities of Pinole, Richmond, Oakland, Alameda, Hayward, Fremont, Newark, Pleasanton, Livermore, and Dublin, and as far away as Northern California near the Oregon border with remote childcare sites for migrant farm workers.
