Description

The VISION Mentoring Program (VMP) was developed to promote the adjustment of first-year African/African American students to the Wright State University community and to facilitate their retention and graduation. Two major goals include:
• To promote academic success among African/African American students
• To encourage and support students by connecting them to mentors. Mentors and mentees will be paired based on several categories including intended major, geographical similarities, availability and other preferences as noted in the application process. In addition, mentors will be provided with the contact information for a local alumni, faculty, or staff member who will volunteer to serve as an additional point of reference.
