Description
WPIFF provides financial support to the families of fallen firefighters, injured firefighters and volunteer fire departments. Many volunteer firefighters have no insurance coverage or inadequate coverage which can leave them vulnerable to financial disaster. The families of fallen firefighters often have to wait months and sometimes up to a year or more to begin receiving the benefits they are owed after the tragic loss of their firefighter. WPIFF has made over $770,000.00 available to firefighters and their families since its inception in 1999.
