Description
Science Festival Foundation D.B.A. World Science Festival
The mission of the World Science Festival is to cultivate and sustain a general public informed by the content of science, inspired by its wonder, convinced of its value, and prepared to engage with its implications for the future.
The World Science Festival is an annual celebration of science that brings together great minds in science, business, government, and the arts. The inaugural World Science Festival in 2008 attracted over 120,000 people to the Festival’s 44 events at 22 venues located throughout New York City. More than 130 participants, speakers, and performers, including 11 Nobel Laureates, guided a large, diverse audience to experience science as never before, making the esoteric understandable and the familiar fascinating.
