Description
World Children’s Initiative (WCI), a U.S.-based, non-partisan, non-governmental organization with 501(c)(3) status, whose mission is to improve the global standard for children’s healthcare and education.
The flagship project is - Project Peds a non-profit initiative created to provide long-term, sustainable improvements to pediatric healthcare in a tsunami-devastated area of Sri Lanka. The Project will build a new, 120-bed pediatric teaching hospital in the southern city of Matara by incorporating the best practices of leading U.S. institutions in a manner tailored to the needs and resources of a developing nation.
