World Affairs Council - Charlotte


The World Affairs Council of Charlotte is a non-profit, non-partisan organization with a mission to focus on improving international education and to encourage citizens to participate in the national debate on world affairs. The Council serves as a resource for the local school community, providing educational programming and scholarships. Programs include Academic WorldQuest, which is an international trivia competition for juniors and seniors in high shcool; travel opportunites for teachers; internationally themed workshops and language luncheons. We also bring international speakers to Charlotte and recently hosted our President, George Bush.
