The mission of the Woodlawn Community Development Corporation is to improve the economic and social well-being of the Woodlawn community, with an emphasis on low-income residents, by empowering them through education, advocacy, and innovation.
The Woodlawn CDC operates as a broad-based nonprofit community development agency, collaborating with a diverse set of community agencies to develop programming and services that meet the needs of the residents of Woodlawn. In addition to managing the Woodlawn Community Center, the Woodlawn CDC provides or collaborates on numerous programs in the areas of economic development, youth enrichment, and community solidarity.
