The Women's Rural Entrepreneurial Network is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit that helps rural women and men start their own businesses through community building, Main Street revitalization projects, and rural economic development. WREN has grown an innovative, holistic approach that blends technical assistance, training, one-on-one consulting, peer-to-peer network building, and access to technology, capital, and markets. In total, more than 950 low and moderate income women have benefited from these services along with an additional 500+ women and men whose incomes are above statewide poverty guidelines. Many of our participants have moved out of poverty as a result of business ownership and WREN’s assistance.
