Description
The Women's Lunch Place is a non-profit daytime shelter serving homeless and poor women in the City of Boston. In addition to serving breakfast and lunch, we offer advocacy and other services, including providing personal care items, clothing, as well as access to laundry and shower facilities, a nap room, a resource room, a quiet reading room, and a creative expressions and art therapy programs. Our work continues through planned outings, which offer the women a respite from their daily struggle to survive while providing exciting experiences that they might not have been able to afford themselves. We respect the dignity of each of the women we serve and try to meet them where they are at, no matter what stage of their lives they're in.
