Description

Women’s Global Connection (WGC) was founded by the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas, in 1994 under the name Interconnections. WGC was separately incorporated under the current name in the state of Texas in 2004. WGC is a non-profit internet-based organization whose purpose is to promote the leadership development and education of grassroots women around the globe. WGC’s accomplishments include organizing an International Conference, implementing volunteer mission trips to Tanzania and Zambia, maintaining an active cross-cultural website and organizing an online seminar on spirituality. Over 500 persons have been direct recipients of WGC activities and have replicated the learning and training to many other groups.
