Description
The Women’s Center - High Desert, Inc. was established in 1978 as a non-profit organization providing a network of services including shelter, case management, advocacy and counseling relating to domestic violence, sexual assault and child abuse prevention in the 2,600 square miles of eastern Kern County. Our programs are the Women’s Shelter Network, Rape Crisis Center, Child Abuse Prevention Information and Referral Helpline and Problem Pregnancy Counseling. We are chartered to educate the public and community agencies, to heighten awareness regarding domestic violence and sexual assault and reduce the risk of victimization.
