about

Helping Women in Crisis become self-sufficient through training and job placement in non-traditional fields Women Helping Women is a not-for-profit 501c(3) Texas corporation dedicated to providing training and job placement in non-traditional occupations to displaced homemakers, battered women, women living in shelters and women welfare recipients. In 1983, Faye Turner's husband became ill and she was thrust into the role of supporting her family. The hard lessons she learned motivated her to form Women Helping Women (WHW) to help women in crisis become self-sufficient. WHW serves Brazoria, Fort Bend, Galveston, Harris, Montgomery, and Waller counties.
