Women Against Abuse (WAA) is one of the largest domestic violence agencies in Pennsylvania. In addition to operating the only shelter in Philadelphia that specifically serves domestic violence victims, WAA founded the nation's first legal center to address issues of domestic violence and the region's first transitional housing program for domestic violence victims.
