Description

WITAN - Women In Touch with Akron's Needs - has been providing grants and promoting volunteer service in the greater Akron area since 1943. Our members donate over 9,000 vounteer hours annually to over 60 local agencies. The purpose of WITAN is threefold: To alert and educate members to civic responsibilty, To encourage and promote effective and quality volunteer service in the community, To recognize, establish and financially support projects which fulfill a need in the community.
