Wisconsin Wildlife Federation - MacKenzie Environmental Education Center - MEEC

about

The MacKenzie Environmental Education Center (MEEC) is one of the most diverse environmental education centers in Wisconsin. Located on a 250-acre property near Poynette in Columbia County, it’s a perfect place to teach youth about our natural world. The property includes 150 forested acres that are easily accessed by five trails; a live wildlife exhibit featuring animals native to Wisconsin; more than 100 species of trees; a nature pond; and restored prairies. The facilities include a large resource center; a dormitory that sleeps 80 people; three small environmentally-themed museums; and a maple syrup facility.
