The specific purpose of this corporation is to award grants for the development, dissemination and presentation of environmental education programs, consistent with the needs and priorities identified by the Wisconsin Environmental Education Board, a state agency created pursuant to sec. 15.375(3), Wis. Stats., and sec. 115.375, Wis. Stats. (“WEEB”).
Nonprofit organizations and units of government are eligible to apply for grant funds.
The target audience for all proposals must be Wisconsin citizens.
Previous WEEB awards have included such topics as: recycling, energy, gardening, citizen monitoring, wildlife, habitat restoration, forestry, air quailty, water quality, endangered species, environmental education research, environmental issues, teacher training, and networking. This is not intended to be an exhaustive list.
