The Museum's collection of Contemporary Art highlights Southeastern artists and women artists working in all media. Exhibitions include works from the Museum's permanent collection as well as loaned material. Public programs include art films, lectures, singer/songwriter events, art workshops and classes and more. WMA is housed in a 100-year-old facility that was originally the city's power and water plant. The Museum also manages a vibrant public arts program featuring outdoor murals located on downtown buildings and featuring the region's history.
