The only national nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting and preserving winter wildlands and a quality human-powered experience on public lands. WWA is the voice of 18 million Nordic and backcountry skiers, snowboarders and snowshoers who seek a backcountry experience where the soundscape is as pristine as the snowscape. Winter Wildlands works at the local, regional and national levels to designate and protect non-motorized areas on public lands.
