W.E.R.C. (Wildlife Education and Rehabilitation Center) is an IRS-registered, publicly-supported, and licensed non-profit organization dedicated to the care and preservation of native wildlife. Services provided include both an acute care center for sick and injured native wildlife, and a nurturing center for orphaned native wildlife too young to survive on their own. W.E.R.C. operates as a temporary refuge whose goal is not to tame, but to release animals back into their native habitat healthy, wild, and free. Through educational programs, W.E.R.C. encourages a peaceful coexistence between civilization and native wildlife.
