Wild Burro Rescue is an organization in Olancha, CA dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and life long care of otherwise doomed burros. In previous years the National Park Services wanted zero population burros in Death Valley, CA; Diana Chontos heard of this and began yearly rescues since the early 1990's. She now has moved her sanctuary to Olancha, CA (previously in WA state) and cares for approx. 187 burros and some wild horses. The sanctuary needs all the help they can to care for these sweet and loving animals. Thank you!
P.S. there are very limited "conveniences" at the sanctuary, Diana does not have a computer a volunteer responds to emails etc.
