Description

Whirly-Girls International is a 501C3 non-profit organization providing education and flight training scholarships for women pilots. The organization was founded in 1955 by Jean Ross Howard Phelan and is domiciled in Washington DC. Currently Whirly-Girls International provides approximately $50,000 in flight training scholarship, $12000 of which is direct funding and the balance is provided by helicopter manufacturers and vendors affiliated with the helicopter industry.
