Description
Westside Health Authority (WHA) is a 501(c)3 community-based organization, founded in 1988 in the Austin Community, located on Chicago’s far west side. Its mission is to use the capacity of local people to improve the health and well-being of Westside residents. In striving to accomplish this mission, WHA works with community residents in the areas of violence prevention, youth development, technology, employment, economic development, and health promotions.
