Description
The Western Pennsylvania School for Blind Children was founded more than 100 years ago as a facility to provide the best education possible for boys and girls who were blind. The School has never wavered from this mandate. Today, in addition to blindness, the students who enroll here have other severe disabilities, and the educational program is tailored to their needs. The School for Blind Children is a private school, chartered by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. It is located in the heart of Pittsburgh and serves students from the western half of Pennsylvania
