The Invisible Children program at West Allis Central has raised over $7000 in the past two years to help create awareness of a dangerous and deadly civil war raging in Uganda for the past 20 years. Many of the fighting "soldiers" are actually young Ugandan children who are kidnapped and brainwashed through violence and psychological abuse who then fight in the feared LRA (Lord's Resistance Army). At it's core, our student organization leads school and community fundraisers to teach others about the little-known world tragedy and raise money to support the national Invisible Children organization.
