Description
Wellspring Women's Center is a drop-in respite center in the Oak Park neighborhood of Sacramento, an area where there is a disproportionately high crime and poverty rate. Established in 1987, Wellspring's services include a nutritious breakfast offered to women and children Monday - Friday, enrichment opportunties, counseling, and the opportunity for impoverished women to receive a break from the pressures of poverty and addiction. Wellspring receives NO government funding, and is made possible through the generosity of volunteers, companies, schools, grants, special events, giving and service groups, and faith groups of all kinds. No proselytizing is allowed at Wellspring.
