Description
We Are Impacting Communities Organization (WAICO) is a grass roots 501(c)(3) charitable, nonprofit organization servicing Middlesex County and the surrounding areas. WAICO offers programs and services to promote positive sustainable healthy behaviors and wellness. WAICO empowers participants by providing access to resources that improve educational and career prospects for self-sufficiency and success.
Through a mentoring and leadership program, WAICO makes resources readily available to youth ages 13-17 years old to develop social skills and nurture personal talents in a supportive environment. Teen programming focuses on healthy concepts of adolescence to adulthood which include life skills, conflict resolution, and financial literacy. To increase awareness of our efforts to build and strengthen teens in our community, we provide off-site group mentoring by request. Off-site participants not only go through the process of gaining new knowledge and adopting new attitudes, but learn new behaviors which encompass positive self-esteem and developing interpersonal skills for improved decision-making and conflicts resolution.
