Description
Established in 1954, Wayside House is one of the nation’s oldest treatment centers devoted exclusively to the needs of women. Wayside House began as the vision of Sarah Mary “Sally” DeVay, a Honeywell employee who created a home for women who had “fallen by the wayside” and energized the business community, psychiatric professionals, and faith communities to help. For these first women and girls suffering from homelessness and unemployment, Wayside House was often the only home they had ever known.
