Description

The Watkins Community Museum of History was created by the Douglas County Historical Society in 1975. The Museum is housed in an historic bank building built in 1888 byJabez Watkins. The mission of the Museum is to collect, identify, preserve, interpret, exhibit and increase the appreciaton of objects, materials, and information relating to the history of Douglas County, Kansas.
