Description
Mission of Waterline is to keep low-income families from sinking into poverty by providing emergency and stabilization funds while they regain their financial stability. The logic is simple: keep families in the workforce contributing to our tax revenues before they become a burden to taxpayers. Waterline does this by helping families who earn wages just above the poverty line and have nowhere to turn when they have a financial crisis. These are families who are being turned away by other charities because they may earn as little as five dollars more a year than their funding criteria allows. With our current economy, more and more of these families are struggling to keep their heads above water, and more are seeking support for the very first time.
