Description
The mission of the Washington Women’s Chorus is to give voice to the great variety of music written for women's voices by performing works ranging from the 12th-century chants of Abbess Hildegard von Bingen, to compositions by Vivaldi and Brahms, to new works by American and international composers. Founded in 1996, the WWC is a unique resource in the Washington, DC area. The 35-member WWC is committed to giving concerts of the highest musical excellence, and just completed its 10th Anniversary concert to rave reviews by The Washington Post and The Washington Times.
