Description
Washington Jesuit Academy is a tuition-free middle school in Washington, DC for economically disadvantaged adolescent boys. Students attend school from7:30am-7:30pm, recieve three nutritious meals daily and attend 11 months per year. Class sizes are small and focus on core academic subjects, with extracurricular clubs such as a stock market club, chess club, documentary film -making club, cooking/gardening club, and art club in the afternoon, along with sports on alternate days. After dinner at 5 pm, students have a mandatory 2-hour study hall with supervision and tutor assistance to complete their daily homework.
