Description

Vulcan has been the symbol of Birmingham for over 100 years. He stands as a reminder of our city’s history and heritage. Through the generous support of the community, Vulcan has been restored, Vulcan Park has been rehabilitated, and Vulcan’s Visitor Center has been reinvented. No longer simply a park and statue overlooking Birmingham, Vulcan Park is now a world-class facility attracting more than 100,000 visitors including 6,000 school children annually.

Everything about the new Vulcan Park and Vulcan Center is designed to highlight the positive aspects of our region. The mission of Vulcan Park Foundation is to preserve Vulcan as a symbol for Birmingham, provide a dynamic educational experience in a public park setting, and serve as the gateway to the region.
